About the Program

The Master Kammermusik (Chamber Music) is a part-time master's program designed for aspiring professional musicians. Students receive excellent, practice-oriented, and individually tailored training at the highest international level. The program is spread over six semesters instead of four, providing freedom for artistic projects and visions. Students benefit from intensive supervision by teachers with international experience in both chamber music and solo performance. The program offers excellent opportunities for networking, ensemble formation, and gaining diverse chamber music experience. Focus areas include chamber music instruction in fixed or changing ensembles, individual coaching by internationally active artists, building a versatile repertoire, methodology in rehearsals and ensemble communication, concert practice and performance training, and networking with students from all instrument groups. The program can be studied with modern or historical instruments, individually or as a fixed ensemble, and offers special orientations such as Lied-Gesang (Song-Singing), Liedgestaltung (Piano), Early Music, Basso Continuo, Primarius/Concertmaster, and Ensemble Direction.
