About the Program

As a consecutive study program, the Master's degree program in Management Information Systems follows a completed Bachelor's degree (or comparable first degree) in one of the following subjects: Management Information Systems / Information Systems and Management, Computer Science, Business Studies, Economics, Digital Media, Management and Engineering. The study program is interdisciplinary and internationally oriented. On the one hand, it is to be understood as a business studies/organizational theory orientation of computer science; at the same time, students with a business studies background gain further competencies in the field of computer science. The language of instruction is English. With the completion of the Master's program, students can enter a profession directly or deepen their business informatics knowledge within a doctoral program. The program combines technical expertise with management competence to prepare graduates for taking an active role in managing and shaping digital transformation in business, administration, education, and society. The focus of the Master's program lies in the interdisciplinary connection of business administration and computer science content. Specifically, the connection of well-founded knowledge in both disciplines and the consolidation of content in the field of Management Information Systems distinguish this program explicitly from other business informatics study programs.
