Master

About the Program

The programme provides specialisations in Chemical Processing or Applied Chemistry. For the Master's thesis, cooperation with external research institutes or industrial partners is possible. The four-semester Master's degree course thus offers the opportunity to acquire in-depth scientific knowledge combined with practical experience. In addition to three compulsory and nine elective modules, which typically comprise lectures, seminars and labs, a project module has to be completed. The project module consists of three projects of 120 hours each (one laboratory, one literature and one free research topic). A five-month Master's thesis (defence included) completes the programme. With a successfully completed Master's degree, you are qualified for positions in research and development. It is also possible to continue towards doctoral studies. You can find further details in the plan of the study programme and the module manual or you may contact the Department of Chemical Engineering directly.
