About the Program

The course comprises the following compulsory modules: Applied Analytical Chemistry Applied Microbiology (Geomicrobiology/Hygiene) Chemometrics and Statistics Environmental Microbiology Water Chemistry Within these modules, two laboratory courses in Environmental Microbiology and Analytical Chemistry are included. An additional, research-oriented practical course in the third semester can be chosen either in these or related subjects. Additional optional courses have to be chosen from a variety of water-related topics to set a more individual study focus. Currently, these include: Advanced Mass Spectrometry Microbial Biotechnology Microbial Physiology and Biotechnology Microbial Bioinformatics Membrane Technology Metrology in Chemistry Nanoparticles and Colloids Oxidative Processes in Water Technology Quality and Project Management Stable Isotope Analysis Technical Engineering Water Waste-Water Treatment Lipidomics Foodomics Nanomaterials in environment and health
