About the Program

Students learn scientific and precise argumentation and reasoning based on the fundamentals of engineering mathematics and are able to recognize and use the diverse application possibilities of engineering mathematics. The compulsory lecture Engineering Mathematics is the preparatory basic lecture for the subsequent elective courses Numerics and Special Topics in Engineering Mathematics. Students are familiar with important concepts and elements of numerical mathematics, including computer arithmetic, numerical integration and differentiation methods and numerical methods for solving ordinary and partial differential equations.
