About the Program

The aim of the study program is to provide students with a comprehensive overview of important areas of mathematics, allowing them to see school mathematics as part of the broader field and recognize its relationships. Students will be enabled to work independently in new areas of mathematics (especially those relevant to school teaching) after graduation and make them useful for school instruction. The curriculum includes Analysis, Linear Algebra and Analytical Geometry, Computer Algebra Systems, Numerical Analysis, Stochastics, Algebra and Number Theory, Geometry and Axiomatics of Geometry. After completing the First State Examination, graduates begin the second training phase (Referendariat) at a general education school, which concludes with the Second State Examination after two years.
