About the Program

The Media Technology program trains engineers for electronic and internet-based media. Students acquire knowledge to find the right technology for different tasks, evaluate procedures, recognize interfaces, integrate systems, program, and develop. The program offers a broad spectrum of fundamentals that can be deepened with a focus on computer-aided media production, digital audio and video technology, or virtual worlds. The Bachelor's program provides practical training as a media technology engineer with carefully selected content that enables a successful entry into professional life. Beyond broad technical knowledge, students develop key competencies. The program is built on four pillars: Mathematical/Scientific Foundations, Computer Science, Communication Engineering, and Studio and Production. In the fifth and sixth semesters, students can choose certified specialization studies or compile their own specialization from a catalog of subjects. The seventh semester concludes with a practical phase in a company and a bachelor thesis.
