About the Program

The bachelor's degree program in Medical Engineering imparts broad basic engineering knowledge combined with interdisciplinary content from medicine and technology. In six semesters, students learn in-depth basics from mathematics, computer science, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering, and get an overview of medical contexts. After the first two semesters of basic training, students can choose between two specializations: 'Medical Electronics and Medical Image and Data Processing' (e.g. magnetic resonance imaging, biosensors) or 'Medical Device Technology, Production Technology and Prosthetics' (e.g. surgical robots, implants).
