About the Program

Our Modellstudiengang "Düsseldorf Curriculum of Medicine" was developed on the basis of current research findings and is continuously optimised in order to prepare our students in the best possible way for their future work as doctors. When training future doctors, we rely on interdisciplinary knowledge transfer, a pronounced patient orientation and practical training from the very first semester onwards, as well as on a broad selection curriculum. In the first two years of study, the focus is on teaching the fundamentals of human biology. From the 3rd year onwards, practical modules become an increasingly important part of the course. The standard duration of study is 12.5 semesters.
