Medienkunst

About the Program

Media Art encompasses diverse forms that are not limited to art with digital and electronic media. It includes art with new or digital media, intermedia/interdisciplinary art, art in public spaces, and spatial installations with both old and new media. The Media Art class works closely with the Media Center, where technical requirements such as video, filming, and editing technology are available. The Media class works in a project-oriented manner. As a result of discourse on developments and forms of media art, group and individual projects are encouraged and developed over a longer period, dealing with the application of 'New Media' in various artistic disciplines. The seminar is mandatory for Media Art students and open to students from other disciplines.
