About the Program

The Master's program in Medical Engineering at Offenburg University of Applied Sciences is designed for students who want to deepen their knowledge in medical technology. The program builds on the Bachelor's degree in Medical Engineering, raising it to a higher level. The curriculum includes core subjects like Higher Mathematics, Numerical Methods, Management for Engineers, Leadership and Organization, Development and Introduction of Medical Products, Robotics, Electromagnetic Fields in Medical Engineering, Modeling and System Identification, and MATLAB and Simulink Laboratory. Students must choose three specialization areas from: Implant Technology, Applied Neurosciences, Image Processing and Machine Vision, and Applied Neuroacoustics. A fifth specialization will be added from WS 2025/26. The third semester is dedicated exclusively to the Master's thesis, which can also be completed abroad.
