Bachelor German Medicine & Health

Midwifery

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)

About the Program

A special feature of the degree programme is the intensive interlinking of theory and practice. This is ensured by highly qualified lecturers with practical experience, problem-oriented approaches to teaching, and the continuous practical consolidation of acquired knowledge in simulated learning environments. Together with those responsible for the practical placements, there is regular reflection on the practical studies and individual learning support. The guiding principle throughout the course of study is interprofessional and interdisciplinary networking with other health science and related degree programmes. Upon completion of the degree programme, students acquire a state licence to use the professional title of midwife and the academic degree of Bachelor of Science, which enables direct entry into the profession or qualification for a master's degree. Midwifery is a dual degree programme integrating practical experience.
