About the Program

The Master of Music (Jazz / Popularmusik) is a consecutive master's program leading to a further professional qualification. The study goal is to enable students to pursue a career as a singer, instrumentalist, or composer/arranger in the field of jazz/popular music in a democratic society shaped by art and artistic education. Beyond the general professional qualification achieved in the bachelor's degree, the program aims to develop an individual artistic profile, including the ability to lead teams. Graduates are qualified as artistic, self-reflective creative personalities who can influence society. They can design and implement their own artistic projects, work independently, and possess the necessary interdisciplinary key competencies. An optional deepening of pedagogical qualifications is possible.
