About the Program

Upon completion of the elective subject 'Music Theory/Ear Training', students should be able to analytically handle music from different epochs with confidence and develop analytical approaches independently. They should be able to represent musical processes on the piano, possess secure knowledge and ability to apply theoretical systems and terminology, and have well-founded compositional skills in various styles. Students will have acquired practical and aesthetic competencies in ear training as a foundation for music practice, work recognition, and interpretation for their future professional activities in teaching, leadership, and mediation. Additionally, students gain advanced competencies in one of two profiles: Pedagogy or Subject Specialization.
