Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)

About the Program

The Bachelor of Nursing is a primary qualifying, dual and full-time study program that prepares students for future requirements in health and nursing care. Through academisation, it makes a future-oriented contribution to the professionalisation of nursing. The program offers a generalist approach, qualifying graduates for the care of people of all age groups (health and nursing care, care of the elderly as well as health and children's nursing care). Students acquire competences for evidence-based clinical expertise, professional information, counselling and guidance of patients, relatives or nursing staff, as well as for the organisation of care processes. The program structure includes alternating theoretical and practical modules, with practical phases taking place in inpatient acute and long-term care as well as in outpatient care. Students earn both a professional nursing qualification and a Bachelor's degree simultaneously.
