About the Program

Always be up to date, create and update cross-media content - and never lose sight of the target group. Whether text, sound, image or film: students learn how to use the tools that media professionals need today. Agile, digital and networked - that's how online journalism works at h_da. Over the course of seven semesters, the degree programme teaches students core journalistic skills as well as an understanding of the technical, creative, economic and legal aspects of modern journalism. Students learn how to find and research topics, conduct interviews, edit texts and prepare content in a journalistic manner. They also learn digital skills such as multimedia design, working with web applications and AI tools as well as how to present their work professionally on social media. With projects focussing on the environment, sustainability and journalism, they can also prepare themselves for fields that will significantly shape our future.
