About the Program

Agriculture is facing major challenges. The ecological orientation of the degree course at the University of Kassel is therefore an important addition to and further development of traditional approaches in agriculture. The aim of the course is to train generalists in ecological agriculture who acquire scientifically based, application-oriented skills for managing and advising agricultural companies and associations. The degree program also teaches a broad spectrum of general knowledge and skills in the agricultural and food industry outside of organic farming. Students can acquire professional and scientific skills that open up new segments of the labor market, including business start-ups.
