About the Program

Pharmacy is concerned with all aspects of pharmaceuticals. The study program teaches about the production and analysis as well as the optimal dosage form or the reaction between drugs and the organism. The study of pharmacy is characterized by a diverse range of subjects: biology, chemistry (especially analytics), pharmacology and clinical pharmacy (patient-related drug therapy). Students acquire procedural knowledge for the production and testing of medicinal products and learn about legal regulations. The program is divided into three sections: Undergraduate studies (4 semesters including clinical clerkship of 8 weeks), Graduate studies (4 semesters), and Practical year (1 year). The Pharmacy Centre at TU Braunschweig offers modern laboratory equipment, a medicinal plant garden, and a mock pharmacy for practical training.
