About the Program

The Bachelor's degree program in Politics, Philosophy and Economics is interdisciplinary and pluralistic. It combines the core disciplines of political science, philosophy and economics. Students learn to think critically, analyze arguments and interpret philosophical texts. They deal with ethical aspects of decision-making and the normative foundations of politics and economics. They become familiar with classical and modern political concepts and analyze national and international structures of political systems and institutions. They develop an in-depth understanding of global conflicts and international politics. Students acquire a comprehensive understanding of complex social, political and economic contexts and are able to think in an interdisciplinary way. The program includes political theory, international relations, comparative politics, ethics, epistemology, pluralist and institutional economics, planetary economics, and economic policy practice. It is complemented by empirical methods, language courses, practical projects, simulations and an internship.
