About the Program

The part-time degree programme in Practical Theology provides comprehensive knowledge of the theological disciplines. These include, for example, biblical, historical and systematic theology with philosophy and ethics, practical theology, religious education and liturgical studies. Practice is taken seriously as a field of learning and reflection. The content-related competences acquired should be deepened through internships. An individual and flexible approach is guaranteed. The program is structured with two face-to-face block weeks per semester in Mainz, one digital week per semester with courses, guided interdisciplinary reflection and networking among students, digital exchange and professional support during the self-study phases, and regular digital colloquia in the evening.
