About the Program
Pre-College Cologne is an early promotion program for musically gifted/highly talented children and young people from the age of 10. The program introduces young talents to university life at an early age and provides optimal support for future artists. The curriculum offers preparation and orientation with undergraduate minor subjects for a later Bachelor's degree course, as well as early studies in which examinations can be taken in line with the Bachelor of Music curriculum. Subjects include main instrument, second instrument, chamber music, composition, ear training, harmonics/counterpoint, musicology, and various workshops. The program is mainly held at weekends during the lecture period at the Cologne, Aachen and Wuppertal locations.
