About the Program

The Master's program in Printing and Packaging Technology trains technologically oriented specialists with in-depth expertise for solving problems in the industrial production of printed products and packaging. The program builds on a first professional university degree and provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities for independent scientific work in research, development and application technology in the printing and packaging industry. The focus of the training is oriented towards the technical developments in the field. In addition to deepening fundamental mathematical and scientific content (modules on modeling, surfaces and interfaces, laser technology, statistical experimental design), application-oriented specialization (modules on innovations in printing and packaging, UV applications, newspaper production) is possible. These contents are supplemented by individual elective modules. The integrated research internship and the project work offered provide the opportunity to become familiar with interdisciplinary thinking and working methods.
