About the Program

The Master of Science Politics & Technology combines innovative political science content with fundamental knowledge in science and technology. It offers an interdisciplinary study at the interface of politics and technology with a focus on the interactions of technological progress and political challenges. Students can focus on one of the fields "Data & Society", "Governance", "Political Economy" or "Sustainability" - or gain a comprehensive insight into all areas. The program is characterized by a flexible range of modules, small seminar groups, and a family-like study environment. The program structure includes: Introduction to Politics & Technology, Method cluster for solid method training, Political science specialization modules and interdisciplinary study component, and Practice Project and Master's Thesis. The program includes a practical phase in the form of a supervised practical project or a research internship. The program can be completed in 4 semesters (full-time) or 6 semesters (part-time) with 120 ECTS credits. The part-time model (66%) allows studying alongside part-time work. Changes between full-time and part-time models are possible each winter semester with an application during the period from April 1 to May 31.
