The Protestant Theology degree programme component of the Master of Education (profile 'teaching degree Gymnasium') provides students with comprehensive pedagogical skills in the area of theology and religion as an element of a holistic education, which also includes critical reflection upon and development of the students' personal characteristics and attitudes toward religion in the context of the their future roles as Religion teachers. The program includes expansion of specialised knowledge in two theological disciplines, intertwining of specialised knowledge and methodology with concepts from research-based specialised didactics, and a Specialised Didactics Module including development of a teaching plan and the practical semester.
