Psychologie mit Schwerpunkt Klinische Psychologie und Psychotherapie

Master of Science (M.Sc.)

About the Program

The Master's program in Psychology with a focus on Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy is designed according to the requirements of the PsychThG and PsychThApprO and optimally prepares students for a psychotherapeutic profession. The program aims to not only impart knowledge and professional competencies but also to support students in their personal development and formation of a psychotherapeutic identity. The study integrates procedure-specific and cross-procedural models for capturing disorders and interventions across the entire lifespan from pregnancy to old age. The main goal is for students to gain a comprehensive understanding of the complex field of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy, learn relevant psychotherapy skills in a practice-based manner (especially with actors and real patients), and develop enthusiasm for psychotherapy practice and research. A guiding principle in the program is the lived diversity of procedures across the entire lifespan. With the master's degree, students are optimally prepared for the reformed licensing examination and subsequent psychotherapeutic further training.
