About the Program

The master's program "Psychology with a specialization in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy (KliPP)" covers key aspects of psychotherapy, psychology and educational science and the key personal and professional skills required in independent psychotherapeutic practice. Graduates can develop psychotherapeutic procedures and pursue their continuing professional development. The program covers a range of research, theory, methodological and practical skills, including patient safety and rights and treatment effectiveness. The program is run by the Department of Psychology (IfP) in cooperation with the University Hospital Bonn (UKB). The course is the prerequisite for award of a license to practice as a psychotherapist in accordance with the Law for the Reform of Psychotherapist Training.
