About the Program

Modern real estate and facility management is interdisciplinary - just like the Bachelor's program "Real Estate and Facilities - Management and Technology (IFMT)" at RPTU. By combining technical and business management competencies, you gain the necessary knowledge and skills for the implementation and operation of real estate and facilities over their entire life cycle. In six semesters with 24 modules and 180 credit points, you develop into a manager with economic and engineering expertise. You will be qualified to coordinate modern work environments, spaces, facilities and services for large companies and the people who work there with you. You will learn, for example, how to optimize energy efficiency, technical systems and processes for building and operating extensive properties. The program is divided into six areas: Fundamentals, Technology, Economics, Project Work and Methods, and Final Thesis. Within the elective area, you can choose elective subjects individually. Different teaching formats such as lectures, exercises, seminars and projects accompany you throughout your studies. A special feature of the program is the high practical relevance through study and semester papers, guest lectures, organized trade fair visits and excursions. This gives you comprehensive insights into the practice of real estate and facility management and allows you to establish contacts with companies at an early stage.
