Reliability Engineering

Master of Engineering (M.Eng.)

About the Program

Customer demands for extensive functionality make technical products increasingly complex. At the same time, globalization is forcing companies to minimize development and manufacturing costs, and to do so with shorter development times. Customer requirements are increasing not only in terms of functionality, but also in terms of functionality, system reliability and user safety. These partially competing goals can only be achieved in the best possible way with a methodical approach. This study programme provides the appropriate skills for this. The curriculum addresses all aspects and puts them into interdisciplinary relation that are urgently needed for a successful and appropriate implementation of reliability and security in practice. The course conveys sound, practice-oriented knowledge and skills in: Communication in the operational environment, Reliability Engineering, Functional safety, Quality Management, Project Management, Business administration and law. In addition, each student chooses four courses from a catalog of electives of selected use cases. The Master's thesis documents the acquired competence to independently work on a technical-scientific question in an engineering-oriented way.
