At 17 million square kilometers, Russia is fifty times as large as Germany, culturally multifaceted, with an important literary heritage, a thrilling history, and a massive political influence. The language, literature and culture of Russia and the Russian-speaking area are at the heart of these studies. Russian is one of the most widely spoken languages in Europe and is also a universal language. Students will learn and study the language in which Pushkin, Tolstoy and Dostoevsky wrote their works and created literary history. This program can be combined with various other subjects including Biology, Chemistry, German, English, French, Geography, History, Greek, Computer Science, Italian, Catholic Theology, Latin, Mathematics, Philosophy/Ethics, Physics, Political Science, Economic Science, Spanish, Physical Education, and Chinese.
