Three exciting and individually bookable two-week modules – United Europe, Green Europe and Smart Europe – explore topics such as European political dynamics, environmental protection in the Upper Rhine Region, urban development and the intersection of sustainability and innovation. Each module is complemented by exciting field trips and insightful visits to leading institutions and companies (e.g. BASF, Novartis, European Parliament, etc.). This immersive experience combines theoretical input with practical exposure, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of European issues and the skills to engage with global challenges. Each module integrates a language course that supports students’ communication abilities in real-world contexts. You can choose between a German course for beginners, which will equip you with essential everyday language survival skills, or an advanced English course, which will help to boost your speaking confidence and to refine your writing skills. Extracurricular activities like a welcome breakfast, campus and city tours and a trip to the Black Forest on the weekend are also included in the programme fee.
