About the Program

The Bachelor's degree programme in Social Sciences is an integrated programme of the subjects Political Science and Sociology. In addition, a selection of optional subjects complementing the social science subject area can be studied. As a professionally qualifying, practical-oriented degree programme, it imparts a broad foundation of knowledge through its interdisciplinary and integrative combination. From the third semester onwards, it is possible to specialise in political science or sociology. This provides a differentiated education for all those professional fields in which extensive knowledge of living conditions and processes of change in modern societies and their political organisation is expected as a necessary basis for professional work.
