Social Work Bachelor of Arts

Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)

About the Program

The study programme Social Work/Social Pedagogy is offered as a consecutive study programme with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work followed by a Master of Arts in Social Work. The requirements for state recognition are fulfilled at the time of receiving the bachelor's degree. The studies are divided into two study blocks and twenty modules. A systematically monitored internship is carried out in the third semester. The bachelor's degree can also be completed in a combined German-Polish or German-Romanian study course (10 places annually for each, separate application required). This offers the opportunity of simultaneously achieving a Polish or a Romanian degree (joint degree). In the binational study courses, the third semester (professional training) and the fourth (theory) will be carried out in Poland or Romania at the respective partner institution. The study programme provides the practical training that qualifies students to identify complex psychosocial problems, to analyse them and to design and implement appropriate action plans.
