Spatial Communication

Master of Arts (M.A.)

About the Program

With the consecutive master's degree program Spatial Communication, the field of interior architecture offers an independent profile with a high potential of innovative project work. The program focuses on the design of architectural space as a communication space, which has become increasingly important from an economic perspective. The three-semester program allows students to deepen their competence and understanding of space across disciplines. Students deal with rooms in which communication and information are expressed in a special way, with design tasks having a thematic focus in the context of spatial communication. The program is part of the School of Design at Mainz University of Applied Sciences, providing an ideal environment for interdisciplinary exchange and creative project work. After completion, graduates can become members of the Chamber of Architects after a two-year practice period, and the degree qualifies for admission to doctoral studies in cooperation with a university.
