About the Program

The Bachelor's program in Sports Science (90 LP) aims to teach scientific foundations of sports including natural sciences, social sciences, sports medicine, and training and movement sciences. The acquisition of didactic-methodical action competencies and sports-related knowledge in movement fields represents a significant focus of study. The content and scope of this methodical-practical training depend on the respective study program. The 90 LP study program offers students an individual content focus in combination with another partial study program. The dual professional qualification enables further master's studies in one of the two completed partial study programs. Graduates are qualified to work in sports-related fields in both profit and non-profit sectors, for example in sports clubs and associations, leisure, health and fitness centers, in public relations and educational work of cities and counties, as well as on behalf of city, county and state sports federations, in health insurance companies, hospitals, health clinics or vocational training institutions.
