About the Program

The Master's in Sustainable Engineering is an innovative programme that will enable you to provide answers to the challenging questions of our time. This degree will enable you to develop your knowledge of sustainable production methods in the manufacturing industry, the development of resilient and sufficient technical systems, and the shaping of the energy transition. An interdisciplinary cross-sectional area allows you to take modules from other related subject areas, such as law or geodesy. The programme is unique among the TU9 universities, broadening the perspective of engineering sciences to include sustainability issues. Course content includes Quality and Environmental Management, Data and AI-Driven Methods in Engineering, Climate Change Law, Sustainability Assessment in Practice, Sustainable Production, Sustainable Systems Development, and Sustainable Energy Systems. Students can choose from three specialisations: Sustainable Production, Sustainable Systems Development, and Sustainable Energy Systems. The programme includes field trips, a specialised internship, a student research project, and concludes with a Master's thesis.
