About the Program

The NaRegio Master's study programme focuses on regions facing major sustainability challenges such as demographic change, biodiversity loss, climate change, and the balance between urban and rural areas. The programme aims to equip graduates to become change agents for sustainable regional development. Students learn to understand regions as complex and sometimes contradictory systems. This Master's programme equips students to analyse the tensions and conflicts that arise in sustainable regional development, and to design and manage appropriate solutions and projects. The programme offers academic specialisations in the areas of Environmental Education/Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), Individual Profiling, and Biodiversity Management in Cultural Landscapes.
