About the Program

In the Master's programme in Systems Engineering, students earn a purely technical Master's degree. This allows graduates of technical Bachelor's Degree Courses to further develop their engineering expertise. The goal of this Master's programme is to expand and deepen students' qualifications and engineering knowledge in the direction of research and development of complex technical systems. The programme aims to impart theoretical, methodological, and systems-oriented knowledge and skills that enable graduates to independently conduct and lead application-oriented research and development projects. StudiumPlus offers the Master's programme in Systems Engineering in the following specializations: Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering. The standard period of study is three semesters, divided into two semesters of theoretical study and one semester for the Master's thesis. The programme is offered in a block format, meaning that approximately every other calendar week, two to three-day blocks (a total of six days per month) take place at THM. As a dual study programme, the learning locations of the university and the workplace alternate.
