About the Program

In the master's degree program Time-Based Media, students are trained in media design specifically for the audiovisual and interactive media sector. The program covers classical training for film and video, 2D and 3D animation, as well as the design and implementation of interactive and multimedia media concepts. Students learn sound knowledge of the design process, from purpose-oriented application to free artistic experimentation, along with technological basics. The program also includes examination of media history, communication science, and sociological foundations, as well as professional, economic, legal, and organizational aspects. The master's program takes place over four semesters in the form of seminars, colloquia, and project work, with students developing their own projects throughout the program.
