About the Program

Tourism and Travel Management is a sound business management programme with a focus on tourism. The program conveys comprehensive knowledge of the tourism industry and all relevant stakeholder groups, builds up a basic skill-set in business studies with practice-oriented deployment, helps in gaining intercultural and foreign-language competencies, and acquiring social and methodological skills in preparation for successfully entering the workforce. The curriculum follows a composite concept, incorporating all aspects of the value chain of tourism in equal measures, avoiding undue specialization on individual segments of tourism. Students can choose between a six-semester program or a seven-semester option which includes one term abroad. The six-semester option is also offered as a dual study course. Graduates can work in areas such as tour operators, travel agencies, transport carriers, tourist destinations, hotel industry, business travel agencies, and event management.
