About the Program

Students pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Translation will gain a thorough knowledge of translation theory and methods as well as practical skills they can apply in translating and interpreting. The degree programme also includes a focus on the cultures of the areas in which students' working languages are spoken and technology related to language, text production and translation. A unique aspect of the programme is the opportunity to study the Spanish regional languages, Galician, Catalan and Basque. The program provides knowledge of academic and theoretical principles of translatology, expansion of language skills, and acquisition of linguistic skills for text analysis and translation. Students can pursue elective subjects and gain knowledge in politics, business, and literature from the linguistic and cultural communities of the languages being studied. The program also includes training in digital tools and translation software.
