About the Program

In the Vehicle Engineering master's program you will be exploring the design, development, production, and operation of motor vehicles and rail vehicles. Complex systems and new technologies form a particular area of focus. During the program you can choose to specialize in one of the following areas: vehicle safety, vehicle dynamics, vehicle legislation, vehicle efficiency, process management in vehicle engineering, the design and construction of motor vehicles and rail vehicles, or the human-machine interaction in vehicles. You can choose between the fields of motor vehicles and rail vehicles when deciding on your area of specialization. The field of motor vehicles focuses on autonomous driving, chassis control systems, vehicle dynamics, vehicle safety, vehicle efficiency, and automotive development methods. The research topics addressed within the field of rail vehicles cover the entire spectrum of railroad technology, including acoustics and the safety of rail vehicles, accident reconstruction, and the utilization of energy and resources.
