About the Program

The Bachelor's program 'Administrative Science' (Verwaltungswissenschaft) is a comprehensive study program that prepares students for careers in public administration. Starting from August 1, 2024, all new students will be enrolled in this program, which replaces the previous programs 'General Administration' and 'Administrative Business Management'. The program is accredited until September 30, 2031. It offers four different specializations: Municipal Administration, Administrative Business Management, State Administration, and Evangelical Church Administration. The program consists of 9 trimesters (equivalent to 6 semesters) including practical phases. Graduates receive a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree and qualify for the first entry level of career group 2 in the General Services or General Church Administrative Service, provided the studies are completed as part of a preparatory service.
