About the Program

Visual Strategies and Stories is an independent Master's degree programme in the Department of Design. The programme is aimed at students who approach their environments and living spaces with their own questions. The programme focuses on the development of design strategies that seek to address socio-political, cultural, artistic, scientific or personal issues. Students work independently on their own creative Master's project and deepen their content-related, methodological and media-specific questions in one of the five specialisation areas: Photography, Illustration, Information Design, Intermedia Design and Type/Typography. The students are supervised by the professors and selected co-mentors from the specialisation areas. The course places great value on interdisciplinary exchange: In addition to specialisation, a combination of these teaching areas can also take place.
