The Bachelor's program in Business Informatics (Wirtschaftsinformatik) combines fundamentals of computer science and economics, enabling students to work across disciplines. The program is based on three pillars: business administration, computer science, and business informatics, supplemented by mathematics, economics, business law, projects, and an internship. In the basic studies (first to third semester), students learn fundamentals of mathematics, computer science, and business administration. The specialized studies (fourth to seventh semester) allow choosing between two study directions: 'Information Systems' for deepening knowledge in business informatics application areas, or 'Business Informatics' which includes foreign language competence and international cooperation experience including an internship abroad. The program prepares graduates for careers as application developers, systems analysts, software architects, requirements engineers, IT consultants, project managers, and IT controllers.
