Evangelische Hochschule Nürnberg is a state-recognized Hochschule affiliated with the Evangelical-Lutheran Church in Bayern. It was founded on May 1, 1995. The former Evangelische Fachhochschule Nürnberg adopted the name Evangelische Hochschule für angewandte Wissenschaften – Evangelische Fachhochschule Nürnberg from March 15, 2010. Lutheran University of Applied Sciences. Or, in short: Evangelische Hochschule Nürnberg (EVHN). The Hochschule is financed by the Evangelical State Church and the Freistaat Bayern.
