WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management is a privately funded business school at Universität level, headquartered in Vallendar near Koblenz, Germany, with another campus in Düsseldorf. The abbreviation WHU comes from its former full name, "Wissenschaftliche Hochschule für Unternehmensführung," which is no longer used today. The "Otto Beisheim" addition was appended to the name in 1993 in honor of its biggest supporter, Otto Beisheim. According to international evaluations, WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management is one of Europe's leading Hochschulen in the field of economics.
