Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)

About the Program

The study of art consists of the following areas: artistic practice, art history/art theory, art education and mediation. These make it possible to test, analyse and communicate aesthetic-artistic forms of perception, thinking and expression from different perspectives. In artistic practice, students acquire creative and reflective skills, develop their own ideas and concepts and implement them with different artistic techniques. In art history, fundamental methods of interpretation and essential art epochs are presented in a coherent manner. Students get to know the stylistic and iconographic characteristics of the art epochs and periods and discover the intellectual and social historical background. The area of art education and art mediation provides an insight into the connections between art and education with reference to different professional fields.
