About the Program

The Automotive course provides students with a broad-based, applied, technical education for the automotive industry with special focus on the automotive supply industry on a scientific basis. The automotive and automotive supply industry in North Rhine-Westphalia is one of the most innovative branches of industry with impressive growth forecasts for the future. The demand for qualified skilled personnel is high. Today, the average car is made up of over 10,000 components: approximately 70% of which are not only produced by suppliers, but also largely developed by them. The supply industry plays an important role in the economic structure of South Westphalia and was incorporated when developing the course. Career prospects include transmission technology, body pressing and light-weight construction, alternative drive systems, production technology for planning and design, process optimisation of production solutions and production concepts.
