About the Program

Biology explores the laws of life. The program focuses on the molecular basis of life processes as well as the function, development, coexistence and evolution of living organisms. While the first two years cover the fundamentals of biology in an interdisciplinary manner, the third year allows students to specialize in four subject areas of their choice. The program has a strong focus on cell and molecular biology. The Bachelor thesis is written in the 6th semester, where students work on their own scientific project. The program also includes minor subjects such as chemistry, physics, and mathematics/statistics.
