Year 2 (Specific basics) covers Cell Biology, Non-metallic Materials, Chemistry of Biopolymers, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Materials Technology, and more. Year 3/4 (Profile development) includes an internship semester/semester abroad, followed by specialized focus field subjects such as Tailored Materials, Biocompatible Materials, FEM and Simulation Methods, and concludes with a Bachelor Thesis. Students can choose focus field subjects from a catalog including Nanomaterials, Materials Simulation, Biological Reactions to Materials, Medical Devices, Materials inspired by Nature, and others.
